Video: Utah's Desert Towers as Seen From the Air

Utah's desert towers are some of the most iconic places for climbers. Stretching hundreds of feet into the sky, this rock pillars have stood for thousands of years as monuments to geological change. Recently, climbers Brandon Fisher, Ken Schulte, and Luke Humphrey traveled to the Utah desert to climb some of the rock towers that dot the landscape there. They also took a drone along with them to capture some of their adventure. The result is this fantastic short film that will leave you breathless with its beauty. This is an amazing video of some of the most incredible landscapes in the entire U.S., and it should not be missed.

Video: Monument Valley, USA

This video takes us to the spectacular Monument Valley, located in Arizona and Utah, to give us a grand look at the sweep landscapes and improbably stone structures that exist in that environment. It is a 4+ minute tour of this amazing place, filled with awe inspiring shots of place that looks like it could be from an entirely different planet. If you have never seen Monument Valley before, this video will serve as quite an introduction. One you won't soon forget.

Video: North America's Fifty Classic Climbs - Episode 1: Fine Jade (5.11a)

Our friends over at EpicTV have just launched a promising looking new series of videos that will give viewers a glimpse of the North America's 50 Classic Climbs. The series will feature climbers Mark and Janelle Smiley, as they attempt to climb each of the routes in that classic book. These videos will allow us to come along for the ride.

In episode one, Mark and Janelle head to Utah to climb a sandstone tower on a 5.11a route called Fine Jade. While not an incredibly long, or difficult, climb, it does provide some solid challenges to get them started, while also providing some outstanding views of the surrounding landscapes as well.

Video: BASE Jumping Fisher Towers in Moab

Just in case you're in need of another healthy dose of adrenaline today, this video will certainly provide it. It features Miles Dasher, JT Holmes, and Andy Lewis who traveled to Moab, Utah where they BASE jumped from the iconic Fisher Towers. The stunning and dramatic landscapes that Moab is so well know for are on display here, as we follow the boys up, and then off, of the Towers. Enjoy!

Video: Zion: Rock of Refuge

Zion National Park is one of the best places in the world to go canyoneering and climbing. It is an outdoor playground that is almost too spectacular for word. This video is a 40-minute documentary that takes viewers into the heart of Zion, showing off some of the amazing landscapes that exist there, and the opportunities for outdoor adventure. While it is longer than most of the videos I share here on The Adventure Blog, it is also worth watch. So make yourself a snack, get settled in, and enjoy this great short-film on Zion. Video: The Story of Place - A Journey Through Canyonlands

As we head into the weekend, this is the short film I want to close out the day on. It is an amazing video that takes us into the heart of the Greater Canyonlands region of Utah, to explore that amazing setting, while also showing us the threats that now face that iconic place. This area is not part of Canyonlands National Park, and is unprotected. Outside interests are looking to exploit the land there, while the good people at Our Canyon Lands work hard to preserve these landscapes. Truly an important story, and one that needs to be shared.

Video: Accelerated Moments - Timelapse Landscapes From the American Southwest and Beyond

Shot over a two-year period throughout Arizona, Utah, California, and Hawaii, this video captures beautiful scenery in spectacular timelapse fashion. Locations include Death Valley, Joshua Tree, Mt. Whitney, and Monument Valley, just to name a few. The imagery is transfixing, with some fantastic shots of some of the most visually stunning landscapes found anywhere in North America.
